Story Tours

Laurie Allen

Laurie is chilled -um- thrilled! to be a Story-Guide  for Ghost Tours again this year.  She has been interested in ghosts for as long as she can remember; possibly because she used to visit her grandparent's who's house was haunted!  She is an active member of the Utah Storytelling Guild and has participated in numerous storytelling presentations and community theater productions along the Wasatch Front.  She performs regularly in area schools and is available for programs by calling 801-773-7713.

Kristen Clay

Kristen is known for bringing the islands of Polynesia alive to audiences around the world as she shares Hawaiian ghost stories, blending ancient mythology with modern phenomenon.  She has performed at many schools, churches, community centers, festivals and special events.  Kristen has circled the globe as a storyteller, actor, teacher and perpetual student.  She is currently the President of the Ben Lomond Chapter of the Utah Storytelling Guild.  Her greatest joy is watching her audiences make connections with defferent cultures and experiences, that remember their own stories.  She can be contacted at 801-773-5521 and FatLadySingingK@aol.com.

Cherie Davis

“You rock!” Cherie was greeted by a child who had just listened
to her storytelling. Cherie Davis is an enthusiastic teller who has
performed at storytelling events around the West. Cherie co-founded
Story Camp, a storytelling camp for youth. She has taught storytelling
in public schools from elementary school to high school and has guest
lectured in universities all over the state.
She can be contacted at 801-226-6530 or
cherie@cheriedavis.com.

Cassie Howard

As a graduate in Theater Arts and Child Psychology, Cassie (mother of five) combines her passion for theatre with her love of children.  She tells stories from a broad cultural background and from diverse time periods.  Cassie says, "The beauty of a story is its ability to touch people's hearts.  Stories make you laugh, cry, and shout for joy, but most of all they just make you feel good."  She is the president of the Olympus chapter of the Utah Storytelling Guild.  Contact Cassie at alpineteller@aol.com.

Nancy Wold

Nancy can be described in one word: VARIETY!  She became a storyteller after being a book reviewer, program presenter, public speaker, and Toastmaster.  She evolved into storytelling, finding it was the most fun of all because it includes all ages and all kinds of subjects.  This mother of 3 boys, 3 stepsons, and 10 grandchildren (who are all perfect of course) has been a member of the Ben Lomond chapter of the Utah Storytelling Guild for quite a few years and still enjoys practicing to get it right.  Nancy can be contacted by email at nancy4golf@aol.com.

Nannette Watts

Full of animation and spunk, Nannette Watts uses energy and grace mixed with humor and fun to tell a story. In a personal story or a crafted folk tale she blends movement and voice to create characters that bring her tales to life. Nannette is a member of the Utah Storytelling Guild, Timp Tellers Chapter. She is on the roster for the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival Outreach program. Nannette is an ardent nurturer of storytellers and public speakers. Author of Youth Tell: Starting a Youth Storytelling Festival, she has taught youth groups locally and from across the nation to begin programs for young people. Nannette captivates listeners and is fun to watch! For more information contact 801-362-4411 or nannette@thewatts.net.
